Love Club = Hiiragi Shougakkou Renai Kurabu

Hiiragi Shougakkou Renai Kurabu Manga Chapter 5 - Page 1 Chu-Bra is a story about 3 girlfriends in school who form a club to discuss ladies' underwear. KnJ is a story about 3 girlfriends in school who like to hang out together. Love Club is about 3 girlfriends in school who decide that because their school is unisex (kind of) they won't naturally meet boy-friends and thus their normal development will be slowed. So Hinako, the perky blonde who is the most naive of the 3, forms a Love Club where they can practice the skills that they imagine that they will lack. Ironically, Hotaru, who has long dark hair and is rather quiet and calm compared to the other 2, is in a relationship with a lolicon, and we learn that she meets him in hotel rooms and gets naked. She offers very little advice to her friends but tries to steer them away from trouble. The third girl, Mio who has short dark hair, is a star athlete and about as naive as Hinako, but she likes a boy and facilitates having 3 boys join the club. There appears to be some confusion about the boys' names. What it says in the Japanese Wikipedia article about Love Club does not correspond with what the scanlators have been doing. ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/柊小学校恋愛くらぶ ?????? - Wikipedia 織倉海（おりくら かい）Orikura Kai (translated Kay) Knows a lot about fish. Boy in school. Black hair, really not interested in club. 赤瀬優（あかせ ゆう）Akase Yuu (or translated Akase Hiroshi) Boy in school, blond, knows about sex, likes Hotaru. Lives with sister. 菊池大樹（きくち だいき）Kikuchi Daiki (or translated Kikuji Hiroki) Mio's childhood friend, boy in school, medium dark hair, Mio breaks up kiss with Hinako. Hotaru seems to feel an affinity to Akase Yuu -- she thinks he may also be abused, and he says to her that she has "the same scent as my sister." Mio and Kikuchi Daiki also are attracted to each other but really unaware of it. That leaves Hinako, who is the instigator of the club, paired with Orikura Kai, who has the least interest in the club. Kai would much rather be in a Marine Biology club, and Hinako would be a lot safer as a member of that club instead. The teachers are 藤矢（ふじや）Fujiya Class teacher -- male If you take Daisuke Aoki and remove his personality and his sense of humor, you get this guy. Complete stick in the mud, negative about everything. 来栖月子（くるす つきこ）Kurusu Tsukiko Health teacher, cute and a real friend to the girls. Smart as well. OTHER CHARACTERS 桜井小鳥（さくらい ことり）Sakurai Kotori High School Student, "onee-chan" long blonde hair. Hinako's older sister, in high school, and sexually active with しゅん 俊 Shun lover of Kotori, Hinako's sister 上条ゆな（かみじょう ゆな）Kamijou Yuna Friend of Hinako, who met her in pharmacy. Schoolgirl THE THREE CLUB GIRLS 桜井雛子（さくらい ひなこ）Sakurai Hinako blonde girl, main character 霧生蛍（きりゅう ほたる）Kiryuu Hotaro Calm, wears glasses, very long hair. Affair with older man. 日下部澪（くさかべ みお）Kusakabe Mio Large breasts, outstanding athlete. Vibrant personality short hair no glasses. Likes Kikuchi/Kikuji | ||

A sexual relationship with a lolicon... Um, not good.
You know, it would be character development if she could actually warn the rest of the group of some dangers they may face, like what she's going through. Could happen, perhaps, though not right away. Or, it could never happen, and in the end she'll be broken. (I wouldn't call what she's in anything of a "relationship" because it doesn't fit within my relationship definition parameters.) Seems like an interesting plot for a manga, though, as there's opportunities for character development. | ||

I haven't read all the chapters but oddly enough Hotaru seems to be in control of her situation, in that she decides whether to see this older man or not, and she seems also to decide what they will do when they meet (although none of that has been hinted at). Clearly Hotaru is embarrassed about this facet of her life and thus she is really quiet at the love club meetings, won't tell the other girls any sort of details because that would lead to questions about how she knows these things. I think the point is that Hotaru is a latch-key kid, neglected by her parents, and she probably drifted into the affair somehow out of boredom. She is the smartest of the 3 girls in schoolwork, so there probably have been no red flags for her parents.
By the way, if it's not obvious, you can click on Hiiragi... at the top of my first message and read the manga online in English. They have all 20 scanlated chapters on that site so it's possible to catch up easily with the story line. | ||

Love Club Vol 1 Love Club Vol 2 Volume 3 can be obtained from mbtransations Love Club Vol 3 I have vol 4 in Japanese, where Hinako will spend quite some time with this new girl Yuna, who teaches her '一人H' i.e. masturbation. I never got a good vibe from that girl when she was introduced at the end of vol 3, and it turns out I was right. | ||

From the Comic High chapters, I can confirm that Yuna is still being a bad influence on Hinako, although it's hard to figure out exactly what she is doing. "Hitori Ecchi" hmm?
I should be getting Vol 4 as well some time soon. Thanks for posting 1 and 2. | ||

OK, sexy un-numbered chapter here
Love_Club_S.zip This is full of nudity and sex, which is OK because it's Hinako's older sister. Kotori, 小鳥. She definitely appears to be over 18. At any rate, it seems like the most romantic thing you can do in Japan is to put on a kimono and go see the "hanabi" or fireworks. The story is framed by the 3 little girls gossiping about what the older sister is up to. I am interested in doing some translation of this chapter, or getting someone named after an element of the periodic table to help with one. Stickstoff?? Maybe I will just start with the last six pages and see if we do the rest. When I scan other chapters I will open new topics for them, but since this chapter appears not to have a number I will just discuss it here. BTW I included a full page ad for Love Club as well as an ad for Chu-Bra Tankoubon 5, since both were adjacent to this chapter. | ||
