No Ryuzaki I don't think it's weird to talk about Death Note, it's a very interesting concept with all the rules and such, and the plot was well done. The only thing I think is disturbing is when students go and buy their own Death Notes and then get suspended from school or arrested by the police...I mean seriously why would anyone buy a Death Note, you know it doesn't work if you write names in it so you're just asking to get arrested.

I carry a Death Note as well. I mainly use it to write the plot, characters and the generalization of the whole premise for my game that i plan to make when i aquire the necessary skills and teachings. I'm not afraid of anyone and those who interrupt my alone time will be the ones asking for trouble no matter who they are( i know that the death note incident occurred in China but regardless, people are stupid). i apologize if that comment went a little dark but i just hate people who discriminate others because of who or what they possess that are not their liking.

Well okay i admit that i once wrote a friend's name on it and how he would get killed. Surely enough, he freaked out and threaten me with a pocket knife(yeah he never heard of Death Note at the time). I wasn't afraid however as i knew him well i told him that it was a joke and we had a good laugh. I showed him the anime and now he's hooked to it.

Well, the reason people freak out about the "Death Note" thing is that people who write down peoples' names in it generally aren't too wise. If they actually had a "death note" with such a power, what would happen? If they write a person dead and it actually happens, they feel guilty about it. Some may feel this guilt, yet become addicted to it and end up getting rid of anyone that annoys them on a whim. So, honestly, there is a legitimate understanding of why it wouldn't be a good thing for people to obtain it just to write names down into it. It's not a legitimate way of venting anger, and it shows mallicious intent. Lastly, it isn't very mature to just write in the name of someone you don't like into a book based on a series where doing so results in a person's death. If a person found a legitimate, fully-functional death note, the best thing to do with it would be to burn it. Too much power drives people to insanity. Now, take this comment as a form of humor: You can't defeat an omnipotent, ethereal being who created you in the first place, and isn't tangible to cause and effect. God can't be beaten, since he surpasses cause and effect. (Yeah, I believe in his existence. Eh, well, still, this is meant to be a bit amusing.)
Newnonymous, I applaud you for using it overall as a notebook-type thing rather than anything else, as that's somewhat the intention of it. Albeit with the cover appearance of the object from a series. Common form of merchandise. Popcorn.
