I think in the anime they made it better when L died. At least there was a whole episode where L seemed like he knew what would happen...
No anime character will ever be as good as L^^ He is just strange, but in a way thats just cool somehow... By the way, what was your favourite szene in the anime/manga? Personaly, i think the best szene were when they played Tennis against each other...

That's true, L died because of Rem, not Light. Once Light no longer had a Shinigami on his side he couldn't sustain his throne as the victor. In fact when you think about it Light got lucky way too many times, whilst L never had to rely on chance.
On the other hand, I can't stand how L walks around with bare feet...he could at least wear some socks =P

Well yeah i know Rem actually kills L but Light tricked her into doing it so basically he cheated. See Light knew Rem would pose a threat since she explained to him that if Misa were to die then she would kill him too and since he learned that if a shinigami where to kill more than one person at a time she would eventually die. Now that Light was clear of being the suspect by L, he then proceeded by making Rem believe that L would kill Misa if he were to find out and so she started to kill Watari(L's right hand man) and finally himself. Still that total BS to me of that conclusion, without the Death Note and the Shinigami L would totally own Light.

Thats true.
If you think about it, without the help of the shinigami and misa, L would have won a long time ago. But just because Misa showed up with her shinigami, Light was able to defeat him...With a many luck you have to say. I mean, if just a little bit of Lights plan hasn´t worked out like he had thouht, L would have won.

Like Light may have plan things thoroughly but it doesn't guarantee that it would go exactly the way he envisioned it, even in real life. The author must have just made things possible for Light since he's the main character, lucky son of a bitch.

Well in case you haven't noticed but this thread was about Death note discussion so yeah were not talking about KNJ here. I love KNJ but sometimes i like discussing other anime/mangas as well. It's fine though Samus you're welcome to say anything here afterall i started this thread.

yeah...Light was way too lucky
If it is disturbing anyone when i talk about Deathnote, it is ok for me too. Then i quit talking about it. But i just think Deathnote is a must see and i´m happy that i´m able to talk about it...Was never really able to do so, because nobody i know ever watched it. (Not that many people i know ever read a manga before)
