I was pulling a little wagon with hay for my horses, when I thought of the opening for Azumanga Daioh.
You look at 11-year old girls, and wonder if they think like Rin. (When I was 11, I was like Mimi; no clue at all) You look at the word Yosemite (as in the National Park) and you read it as よせみて. You have more books in Japanese, than in English.

I remember the sixth grade very well although it was a long time ago. I think most of the girls were innocent (like Mimi) but some were well developed (like Mimi). And in my class of about 30 kids there were a couple of girls who were really "bad" (like Rin). I had all my hormones at that age but no idea what to do with them. When I was up in front of the class giving a book report, sometimes the bad girls would play with the hem of their skirts and cause an embarrassing response which I didn't even know was happening... I guess that means I was a male Mimi.
I haven't really been able to get into watching Anime. It would doubtless help me with my Japanese if I did more of that.

I know I've watched too much anime when my I say simple one word phrases to people and I'll think of saying the Japanese version before the English one. Examples would be like "Ohaiyo", "Doshtei", "Arigato", "Hai", or (this is a common one) "Itadakimasu."
Hey is anyone gonna bring about the Chapter 63 discussion thread? Only five more days...
