As Moon-Speak is back and new, introduce yourselves here! What drew you here? What drew you into anime? What's kept you crazy enough to stay in? Favorites?
All that and more, feel free to throw it up! I'm zSilver, a contraction of zSilver_Fox. My first anime was Iria in 1995, then I started getting into it seriously around 2005 when a friend gave me a torrent for Full Metal Alchemist. I'm now beginning translating.

First anime...
Hellsing english dubbed. Looking back I can see how horrible the voice acting was, and even how mediocre of an anime it is. But at the time, there was nothing cooler than watching Alucard kick ass .I've been watching anime for a long time, but got into fansubbing about two years ago and was active for about a year before scaling back. It's a lot of work, but it's fun to do with a bunch of dedicated people.

My first anime was probably dragonball back in mid to late 90s or something. I seriously started getting into anime in the early 2000s when bt became prevalent. The anime that got me into the culture was probably Love Hina, which when I look back was by all means not that great of an anime, or even series, but it was definitely entertaining and prevalent in being memorable, and thus has a nostalgia value for me. I can probably rewatch that series, or read the manga again, every year or so without ever actually getting bored.

Hello,
I apologize for not making my initial post in this thread. I've been into watching anime for about 15-17 years now. My first anime was a historical shinobi movie entitled The Dagger of Kamui. Then, I watched Project A-ko, Bubble Gum Crisis, Ranma 1/2...it just keeps going. My first manga was Johji Manabe's Outlanders. I became aware of this forum after Reading the first couple paragraphs on Sahadou.com . Also, I've been reading Knj, and the commentary relating to knj that's left by many fans is fun to read too.
