Strike Witches 2nd SeasonIn the why-the-hell-did-they-exist-in-the-first-place department, the second volume of the Strike Witches manga will reportedly feature a jacket cover announcing the second season of Strike Witches. While a release date for the second series hasn't been announced, with the current state (read: in massive debt) of GONZO, I imagine they will be trying for a summer season in order to get a quick infusion of money. For those of you not familiar, Strike Witches was an anime about young girls who wear leggings that allow them to fly, and they battle enemies. It's supposed to have a sort of post WWII feel, but that's mostly nonsense. The main appeal of the show is the girls, and the fact that none of them wear pants while flying, resulting in some of the most blatant pantsu you never want your mother to see. Kiddy Girl-and In the world of slighty more worthy pantsu anime sequels, Kiddy Grade is getting a spin-off in the form of Kiddy Girl-and. The anime will be set about 200 years after the events of Kiddy Grade, and will center around two new characters, the spirited Asukūru and serious Ku Fīyu (a shockingly original paring) who work for GTO, the galactic government. The show will be animated by Satelight, and the writing is being done by gimik, who produced the original story. While I was a fan of the original, I don't hold much hope that this spin-off will be anything other than another mad dash to cash in on the recent ecchi craze. With shows like Kannagi and Toradora proving so popular, this is bound to be only the beginning of the storm.

Um, well, I limitedly like Strike Witches, though the second season goes a lot further than the first season in ecchi, which I think makes it even more overdone than the previous season. Mild character development is seen, and we get to see a different side of Francesca (showing her to be more than just a pervert, as a female equivalent of a gentleman at times.) It tends to feel somewhat pointless for numerous portions of the story, though... -_-U On a plus point, Eila and Sanya showed some character development in one episode, about further strengthening their bond as *coughacouplecoughcough* best friends.
Kiddy Girl-and, while fan-servicey, wasn't half bad. Though the first five episodes felt more like a parody of genres than anything else. Although it seemed to be somewhat circled about teen-girl-kissing-teen-girl and teen-girl-kissing loli at a few points, which seemed a little comedic, yet somewhat cheesy. I like Kiddy Girl-and more than the second season of Strike Witches, considering there was more plot substance there. [if not just barely.]

For what I can see, you have kinda taste of loli, isnīt right? I can suggest you to check some other series, of course, If you want. Have you ever checked Rizelmine? First season is Hilarious, second season.....well, I just say "Adults C". Sumomomomo (Yes, thatīs the name) Also is charged. "Today in 5th Grade" ( I donīt remeber the JPN name), Moetan, Doujin Work, Mitsudomoe and of course the one and only KNJ, If you havenīt checked it. A piece of advise, If you havenīt seen it, please remember to have a box of tissues by your side.....not for what your think(if youīre male), itīs because you will cry in the 6th episode like everyone (Myself included).

I'm quite a sci-fi person too. Oh, have any of you bothered to check out the "Nanoha" series? Loli ecchi yuri magical-girl galore. [Not to mention Yagami Hayate is officially a groping maniac with a yuri harem of her own.] Heard of Moetan and Doujin Work. I'd like to check out "Netrun Mon" some time if I can find it subtitled anywhere online. ufotable is going to soon release a Touhou Project derivative work anime, it seems. Considering it's a derivative work, well, ZUN has no say in it, though I hope they can somewhat keep it in the spirit of ZUN's series where it's up to the fanbase what the personalities of the characters are. (After all, that's supposedly half the fun according to the Touhou Project fanbase, and ZUN basically just creates some games and leaves it up to the fans to decide what's canon and what's not, from what I've read.) [Essentially, this means that the anime won't try to elaborate on the personalities of the characters and leave some of the interactions a little vague. Though, a few conversations and combat fun should hopefully be seen, and hopefully the danmaku-style battles would be portrayed as somewhat a mere recreational game for Gensenkyou rather than anything else, considering that's practically what it's about. Besides, usually they end up having tea in the end, or so I've heard.] Thank-you for the recommendations. Sorry about my wall of text, I have an unfortunate tendency to do that.
