Default 20th Century Boys Movies Screened In Philadelphia
The first two live action films in the 20th Century Boys trilogy will be shown in dubbed format at Cinefest 2009 from March 26th through April 9th.

The three movies have a combined budget of $55 million, with the first movie being the 8th highest grossing movie in Japan of 2008. The second movie in the trilogy recently opened at #1 in the box office in Japan.

The movies are based on the popular manga series 20th Century Boys. It was one of my first manga series, and has a special place in my heart. The same mangaka also worked on the popular manga series Monster, as well as the drawing of the noir Astro Boy spin-off Pluto.

An American distributor for the films has not been announced at this time.
