Long story. I'm working on it, but I have a lot of people waiting on commissions and many of them are very impatient. I also need to rescan a few of the pages because some of them came out a little messed up when I scanned them.

Sayo, thanks for answering my questions and for explaining about the kanji. My earlier question about tips was more about grammar, since the grammar in manga seems to be completely off compared to regular/formal Japanese.
My wife has studied Japanese for her IB and she was able to memorise 2000 kanji in two years - though now, six years later on, she remembers only a few. So for those of you who want to study it, it can be done!! The trick that my wife used, and which seems to help well, is that she made cards with the kanji on them and the pronunciation and the meaning on the back, and just memorised them. She also has a set of cards with verbs and nouns with pictures on them. So yes, it boils down to memorisation but perhaps some methods are better than others. What I have done to upgrade my horrible knowledge of Japanese is to read raw and translated manga side-by-side. I have learnt new things just using Sayo's translations next to a raw version. While this might not be completely accurate, it does help. I'll see if I can help you bind Seishun Binta. It's utterly hilarious but I only have the manga itself and not anything on my harddis, but I might be able to find it somewhere. If I wanted to start a donor project for something (I'm thinking of Yumi Nakata's Chu-bra ちゅーぶら!!), how would I go about that? EDIT: I found the Seishun Binta raws. I suppose posting links is okay (mod)? Vol 1-5: http://www.megadownload.net/download...7q8/01-05-.zip Vol 6: http://www.megadownload.net/download...1q/06-fin..zip | |
