At any rate HERE is a thought. Suppose this DOES get Aoki to make his own confession to Rin. Where does the plot-line go after that? Once they have their own explicit secret connection, what do they do with it? I think a lot of the fun of KnJ has been Aoki's constant resistance and embarrassment in the face of Rin's constant love assault. Are we going to see them sneaking out on secret dates, hoping not to be seen by anyone they know? It's a whole different concept and it makes me think KW is done with KnJ once she resolves it.

Well with Rin in a coma i assume, I think her dreaming will go deeper in the next chapter perhaps even talking to her mother. Whether Aki is a ghost or just an imagination, i think she may Rin's only hope for being happy. Maybe she will say something about her death is not Rins fault and how her and Reiji needs to move on, something like that but deeper.

If there's going to be a hospital visit in ch. 80, it's not obvious from the first page (scroll down a bit. Some of the other pics are NSFW).
Reiji says something about morphine ( ), says "yes" a couple of times, says he understands and... something about watching her? (I see a kanji I can't make out, ko [child], and what looks like "wo mimasu"), and at the bottom, he says "Rin, why...?"The text on the left side says something like "To escape the pain of despair, she takes her late mother's medicine....." Beside the picture says: "Her feelings toward Aoki-sensei are only growing.... Rin-chan took her late mother's medicine because of chest pain. Sleeping deeply as a side effect of the medicine, what appeared before her was...." The blue text above that says "A very radical romantic comedy about a devilish grade schooler and her new teacher."

Thanks again Mayotta. It is so frustrating the way the aliasing makes the kanji unreadable when you try to blow up the picture!!! It's remarkable that you were able to make so much out of it.
Actually "KO" as a left element in kanji is quite rare. In the Kodansha dictionary, I see nothing at all for 3-8, 3-9, 3-10, etc. Under 3-7 I see SON or Mago, grand-child and nothing else. Under 3-6, KO solitary or alone, and nothing else. 3-5, 3-4, 3-3, 3-2, nothing. Under 3-1, KOU, Yoshi, Ku, Touru, open hole or pupil. And that is that. Which one of those are you seeing?? 孫 孤 孔 Hmm, now I'm thinking I misunderstood and "ko" is a separate kanji after the one you can't make out, right? Interesting exercise regardless...
