Although there have been some manga that has gone on forever (like Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece) others finally have come to an end (Inuyasha) after years of running. And Kodomo no Jikan has been running for several years already.

Yeah, some of them are so long.I quit Naruto at vol31.I have no place for them anymore.My best record is 3x3EYES I got all 40vols.It went on for 15 years until the last vol published.I was in kindergarten when the first one published and when the last one published I was already a senior in college.Now naruto last for 11 years may be it can beat the 3x3EYES.May be I will buy the rest of naruto when I got room for them.The story is interesting.

Back to the topic,knj is not very long yet,I want it last longer but seems unlikely to happen.Rin got to 6th grade that will be all.Aoki can't go to a middle school for Rin.But in Japan some private schools are combined from primary school to high school,all in a big campus.But not Rin's school.It's a public school.

I was a big time Urusei Yatsura fan, and when that was replaced my Maison Ikkoku, then Ranma ½. But when Ranma finally ended, and Inuyasha started, didn't like it as much, I was surprised it lasted as long as it did, longer than UY with 56 tankoubons!

*new here, so uh could anyone tell me how the quick reply thing works, cause I can't seem to activate it. so yeah sorry..anyway back on topic...*

Though I do hope that Rin and Aoki end up together, for some reason, I think this will drift to one sided love on Aoki's part, cause Rin will have to grow and such, move to a private school, etc.

I say though, they may keep in contact then, they will slowly drift apart...I can see it happening, like first it would be daily calls, then a call a week, then texting a few times a week, to texting once a week till they stop or Rin stops at least. This will trigger the one sided-ness for Aoki,specially if Aoki calls her *finally* from the absence of her attention upon him, leaving her this long message, with the ending words,saying.."I think...I really do love you..Rin..." or something like that,but a bit more dramtic and sad. This will never be answered though, for she drifted, grew up, grew up on him and that'd be the last panel! :O Just the cell phone in a deserted room,ringing. Ooh! or two panels, Rin's phone rings, she left it at home, and then another panel shows Rin, suddenly looking back, to us, as she walks with her friend/ new guy friend that looks nothing/or something like Aoki..? maybe...with a sudden worried/surprised look,as she feels a pang/pain in her chest/heart, like it was heart ache, though for her, she doesn't understand why and just shrugs it off, as for Aoki he feels it and just breaks down and cries, murmuring her name over and over as he just sits in a corner, and uh maybe there'd be text that says "...and this was 5 years ago.." or some date signifying the time in the past. This could be an excuse for another volume for it, present day one of the situation. I know it's angsty,but eh who knows,right? Hopefully this won't happen and they do end up together though!Sorry if this was way too long, sadly I could say so much more, but I won't.

Oh and to continue with the assumptions all, from my last post, it may be a bit off topic, but I couldn't help it.sorry.
I can just see the ending fading into a black and white layout if it was colored before, very oldish, before there'd be panels of flipped pages/pictures/clips/shots of rin, aoki ,everyone, all past events that we've seen, then stopping to one picture of Rin, asleep or something,of some significant or maybe, before it merges to the present day Rin whose sleeping, older and such, thus then the next Volume *present day now* starts(after she opens her eyes and yawns before glancing at her alarm clock, that shows time/OR her cellphone rings and she wakes up to it, pics it up and smiles cause it's someone special (not Aoki T_T but her boyfriend) but we don't know that until she says his name "Morn' Hun!Oh I missed you too, Love you much <insert whatever boyfriend's name here> " (:O
She keeps saying stuff that couples say as she turns to the calender or alarm clock to shut it off, signifying time, and, and the reason she over slept also signifies that time has passed and yeah....Oh and the action of her stopping the alarm clock shows that it snaps to present day, in a way,she stop the time from passing by so quickly, at least that might be what it seems to be to the viewer and begins her day and yeah...

Has anyone read this one? It's about a 16-year old high school student who marries her teacher, and they have to keep it secret.

It's different than our KnJ, she was almost out in the street, has a little brother, and originally married him to see if he was serious, when he offered to marry her to get off the street. The guy is totally virtuous, didn't even kiss her at first, even though he was a delinquent in high school, but turned himself around.

The funny bits is him trying to keep the marriage and his delinquent past a secret, and her trying to get him to open up to her more, and to keep the marriage a secret.
