a HA! I think I found the reason why a lot of Kodomo no Jikan locations are near the Musashiseki station. Asahi Production, the company that animates Kodomo no Jikan is located... "a seven-minute walk from Musashiseki station".
Here's the link, ASAHI PRODUCTION | Japanese animation company with a high reputation ![]() 2-2-10 Sekimachikita, Nerima-ku, Tokyo, 177-0051, Japan TEL: +81-3-5927-5133 Access 7 minutes walk from the south exit of Musashiseki Sta. (Seibu Shinjuku Line)

Here's another Kodomo no Jikan location, enter this into Google Maps and go into Street View:
35.72807,139.573421, the address is 4丁目17 14関町北, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. This is the corner store where the three of them are walking in the first OAV, where Rin is laughing and saying that what she's getting Aoki is a secret.

Here's another address to check out:
4丁目21 60関町北, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan 35.729711,139.572664 Go into Street View and go south from this house so you can see the same perspective as the anime. This is the house that Rin and her mom are walking by in episode 6, "Omoide", this is just after they picked up Reiji at the train station and they are walking ahead of him. This is up the street (north) from where the corner store is.

i'm actually surprised that they use that many real locations... You could use them as inspiration, but why, as far as i can tell from your comments, do they seem to copy them.
