Default だめよめにっき on-line comic
Here's another sample of KW's other manga.

It's a four-panel comic, it's kinda cute. Especially when she turns a white shirt pink and tries to give to him as a present...

So what's it say? I get some of them -- like she eats an avocado and hates the flavor, but she plants the seed, and later harvests avocados which she also hates.

And I think she cooks a cabbage without cutting it up so it comes out like a bowling ball.

But what is the present in the last strip, what does the hubby think he's going to get?

And the first one about bringing home the guys from work -- what is up with that?

I've run into the razor situation with my wife. Had to buy her a separate razor for legs.

No, she made a HUGE takoyaki. (Octopus ball)

Oh, and of course, the separate razor for the shower. I always have a separate razor for the legs and (ahem) other places, that's icky to snag the same razor that a guy uses for his face. And, Fusion razors are useless as a (a-HEM!) toy...

I ordered both volumes from Japan. I have to say, particularly in Volume 2, the artwork is just stunning. Most of it is stupid sketchy little cartoons but for the chapter headers she has drawn the loveliest sexy portraits of the "bad bride." And chapters are only about six pages long, so there are a lot of them. I could just spend an hour looking at those. I should scan some of this anyway...

They call the girl "Yome-chan" which COULD be her name. But this is also the name that in-laws call their daughter in law. Pic on the left is Yome with her mother in law I think. Pic on the right is Yome alone. Both of these are exactly like the art in Volume 2.

Shinobu had already posted those pictures but it was in a "slide show" so I didn't see it.

At any rate -- these are Yome's parents and not her in-laws. Her husband is a redhead named Otto. The parent's are drawn to be very visibly Japanese, and her mom looks like her but with glasses, and taller. Hubby is European or American. And I think Yome appears to be her name -- it's actually written on a diploma.

Sooner or later I will scan some of this and post it. The manga part is four panel gags. The time-frame shifts from when she's a girl at home with Mom to when she's a bride to when she's pregnant to scenes of the baby Otto.

When I say four panel gags, here is a typical one. Young Yome is at home with Mom, surrounded by teddy bears (there are lots of teddy bears in this), which are white, black, or green.

The header says "Taste of Bear"

Mom says "why are the bears different colors? And so many white ones?"

Yome explains -- the bears are ripped open, which may just be imaginary -- the white ones are stuffed with rice, the black ones with Adzuki beans, the green ones with peas.

"Emergency Food!"

and that's it.

But really Watashiya makes these so charming and sweet, she knows how to portray love shining through the silly gags and the arguments and embarrassments, just as in KnJ. I like her even more after seeing these books.

It's cute, but very widget.

If I grieve, if I grieve, can my heart turn white?

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I am one of the few Reiji fans. I am trying to hunt down a Reiji x Mimi doujin, so far no luck.
