About that last page, Mimi looks serious, she's in a real dress, real shoes, hair done (remember the photo shoot?) I think she may even confess to him. I wouldn't go to all that trouble just to say "what up?"... I think she may ask him more what happened to him when he was younger, and that she is feeling very dark things and why did he say those things to her. He may break down, Mimi will go all girl on him (like when Rin was sick) and they may have a problem, if they acknowledge it. She is still only 12, although she's more like 16 in temperment and body.

(Her mom, what a mean woman!)

(This is a sign of turning darkside, like Reiji did when he was young. No good.)

First that’s a boy in the first koma. The son of that aggressive president of PTA. He was caught by police in a supermarket for shoplifting. And Aoki and others are talking to the parent to solve the problem.

And when they talking Reiji got there(to pick up the suit he lent to Aoki), and hearing Aoki analysis the child thought: “ why mom don’t scold me?” ‘must because she don’t want me to dislike her’ and in conclusion Aoki said:” you take your image more serious than educate your son to become a great man ” “You take yourself more serious than you child ” And Reiji was shocked because he said the same to his own parents.

The picture with no words but much of the meaning. Did Reiji kissed mimi? We are not sure of that yet. Because no pic directly show the scene and mimi wasn’t sure of that either. She said Have I just been kissed with a question mark. So KW’s typical method keep you wandering, until later stories we will not know what exactly happened.

Besides,at the first page, the novel about a high school girl and a 30s detective’s detective story is what mimi is addicted recently. A detective serial novel. And mimi just imagine herself and Reiji into the story as the hero and heroine. Rin was just not satisfied with the story because the hero and heroine just had kiss but no further thing by the vol.10 already. Sort of like herself and Aoki.

And at the last page Shirai said only the person felt the pain so he could be saved.
KW emphasized the person felt the pain and mimi is in the same page.So that perhaps means Reiji could be Mimi's cure because he felt the pain of the child abuse and knew the dark side.Just my guess.

no problem at all.I'd love to make a little appetizer before the main dish coming. Though this appetizer is made of my poor English. But our friends here are no picky Gourmet I guess.

just transfering what i said in the other thread:

Reiji and Mimi are feeling a similar pain with their lives. i think it will bring them closer, leading to them develop more for each other. I think that Mimi going to see Reiji might resolve the darkness in them, it's risky but Mimi knows something is wrong with him so she wants to help too.

I agree with your last two sentences Katame. I want to see the next one too.
