Kodomo no Jikan chapter 72

Okay, the calm before the storm. Next Monday (or Tuesday) the next chapter will be coming out. I'll be depending on someone linking to the raw, I can't wait for the translation...

So will this be a non-sequiter and go off on some side story about Houin getting fatter? Or will this go whole hog into a "I'm going to tell Rin I love her" story?

What kind of fan service will we get this month? Or will it be all business about Rin x Aoki and Shirai x Oyajima? And will Houin be buying batteries this month???

Now do we really think that Aoki is going to flat out tell Rin that he loves her? If he does will we see him kiss her? (We always see Rin kissing Aoki) Will he ask her to wait for him? Will he tell Rin he will wait for her? Will Houin finally confess to Aoki, only to be told that he is in love with someone else? (Now that would be a bombshell, Houin would figure out who in a moment.)

Sixth grade is ending. Rin is graduating and will be leaving the school. Will Aoki stay behind, or will he try to follow her?

DAMN! So many ways this story can go, and go on. Or end. We pretty much know (hope!) that Rin and Aoki will get together. It's just the how that makes waiting for each chapter so hard to do.

I'm so sad to think this might be ending. I'm in denial about that, so I had better wait and see...

Yeah, I don't care what thread gets stickied, just so long as people are discussing it.

All good things come to an end, Ugetsu, much as we don't want them to. Maybe some other mangaka will take up the torch of making something as sweet, cute, and touching as KnJ.

Wouldn't hold my breath, though.

Ah, I didn't know there was another thread on the chapter when I started this one.

We'll see in a few days whether she is starting to tie up some loose ends, or like I said, maybe it'll just go in another direction.

Maybe when Rin gets into an all-girls high school, she'll see a flyer asking for people to join the light music club.

I've found Tankobon 9 of KNJ, and I really want to read the final story that could happen before Aoki and Reiji get in when Kuro and Rin was slepping after skipping school...I only understand that Kuro ask Rin-chan to let her see Rin-chan "down there".......Sayo, please, when you can, please post the Tankobon 9. Please.
By the way......I found the Raw of the chapter 72.

Hi @DS -- thanks so much for the link to the raws for 72. Short chapter!!

I swear I have seen a translation of those last few pages of 64. It is so hard to keep things straight when the Tank pages come out much later than the chapter. Here is how I remember it:

Kuro says, remember when you made Mimi and me show you what we look like "down there"?? Well I never got to look at you, could I? Of course Rin is enthusiastic and says YES (HAI はい） with a little heart. She spreads her legs and gives Kuro a tour. "This hole is where the peepee comes out, this is where the penis goes in, and THIS feels really good when you touch it!!"

Kuro is grossed out, and when Aoki arrives she yells "Well Virgin, it's about time you got here!"

For all those worriers, do note that the latest chapter confirmed what I already expected: the series likely still has a ways to go, because sixth grade isn't close to finishing (they just finished the spring term, and summer break is soon to start... that leaves a LOT of space for more material before the end of elementary school).

This also provides a bit more evidence that we won't be seeing a loli ending. Aoki is horrified at the idea of being a lolicon, and has romantic, not sexual feelings, for Rin. I'm really hoping that means that if it has a conclusion where they end up together, it also includes some timeskip.
