Well I'll post a comment on this chapter now, I find the whole tampon scene the real conclusion to Mimi's menstrual storyline. She tried to use it to get out of swimming in her school suit, but Sis showed her how to get on with her life with Auntie Flow. Plus how long do you think it will take Rin to figure out her Hymen was what kept Aoki out? I see a scene in the next couple of chapters were she may take that poor membrane out of play. Rin is really contemplating the applicator in the scene with Mimi. The whole scene we are seeing now also includes the Idea of how a normal family functions up until now were have seen only dysfunctional family situation. Note the fact too, that sis is a school teacher too, and her Bro-con, my signal her desire to go teach in the city. Shirai sudden speaking engagements may lead her to have to leave the school for a while letting sis be her sub.

There is a lot of substance to this chapter, and if you go to the Artist's blog I think we are going to get atleast maybe one or two more chapters of this vacation storyline. Shirai is popping up next month and somewhere Kuro tries to cook a meal.

I could even see Reiji popping up toward the end of this vaction to try and spend time with Rin.

Hey finally you started to show up Kikster great. Well i don't think the tampon was the be all to end all for Mimi i think there will be more stages for her to embrace while shes growing up not that i think the story may begin to revolve around her. Knowing Rin, she may find out about the hymen sooner than we think. families that function varies upon whoever runs the way everyone behaves, there really is no need for explanation about it i mean come on all of our families have it's flaws in life but that doesn't mean it makes us all bad that's just the way we are.

Coincidentally Kikster, that link is where i get all of my KNJ mangas too, the same person too. I know that there are mostly....well you know but it's the only reliable source to get them so no worries

Well, I just stating the fact that all the girls including Houin never had a positive male role model in their lives, and here we get to see what possible created the Aoki we love. His father being away on business just seems to add to the mystery, is his father just as bad as the rest of theirs or is he just a hard worker who does his best to support them. I also just started to wonder with his sister possible having a crush on him and the notion that there has not been any girls around since middle school, was Aoki the little Don Juan the witless and the parents basically sent him to an all boys High for that reason?

well just having a few random thought to post. Still another thing are we going to possible see Rin come home to find Reiji in the arms of his co-worker? And maybe this little retreat may make her more aware of what some people are going through. Plus I think that when Aoki was making the comment about Rin and Reiji unable to free themselves from each other, I think he may have meant that the third person in that drama was Aki, her memory being some how abused in the whole affair.

Hmm... that would be important if Aoki's father appears in the upcoming chapters, we would surely get some answers of Aoki's origin as a kid which may lead to how he became who he is now. Chika definitely has a crush on her brother but maybe it's just due to his kind and innocence nature toward others is probably why he gets the attention of the ladies(so i think). I think it would be too soon to see Reiji with another woman when Rin arrives home. The only way he can start seeing others is to let go of Rin and Aki and to stop living in the past(his childhood and the memories of Aki).

Rin is growing stronger as an individual since she overcome her sexuality towards Reiji, i'm sure she'll let him go once he is no longer grasping the memories of his past.

I just kind of see the issue with Reiji, now, as Rin being in the way of him moving forward. when she ran off the would be suitor, she was just showing her insecurities toward her issues of abandonment. Her questioning Kuro about the possibility of Reiji finding another shows she may be realizing how unfair she has been to him, especially since she has cut him off of the physical relationship that they were sharing. I just think like many things, Reiji may just find himself with the opportunity of popping one off with that cute co-worker even to the detriment of his job. Rin not being there,would play into that selfishiness he shows or even Rin telling him to go have dinner or a date with her while she spends more time with Aoki in a more family setting that she really desires. In the end it would well with in the character for both.

I asked Sayo about the translation of those five pages at the end of Chapter 50. 1) He really doesn't think he ever did them, and 2) he is pretty convinced that Chapter 50 is in Volume 8 rather than Volume 7. He just released a Volume 8 collection, starting with that chapter. And there are no extra "Tankoubon" pages. I don't get it. Do you guys remember his translation of the cellphone conversation, or am I just remembering what I did myself? And where was that silly story about Kuro and the expensive swimsuit -- she couldn't take it off to pee, wasn't that also in Volume 7?? I'm sure he did that because I disagreed with one thing, she said "Speed-o" the brand name and he translated it as "fast" or something like that. If that was in Volume 7 then I am remembering correctly and he DID do the extra pages. Or was it in Volume 6??

@Kikster: that's exactly what i was saying that Reiji and Rin can't go on with their lives while they're still attached to one another. Well depending on how Reiji would treat that woman from his work, we will see if he still thinks of Aki and uses her if not then it could just be the break he needs. The confrontation with Rin and the woman was like over a year ago in the manga, only reason she casted her off was like you said Rin was being naive and selfish but maybe she may turn over a new leaf from it. Overall, the whole situation with the Kokonoe's with see things through little by little.

@Ugetsu: you're not the only one who remembered, i find it weird too that the extra pages were missing after they were translated. I remembered i downloaded them with the chapter but my computer at the time wiped out everything in it including that chapter. I've been trying to find them but no such luck but i WILL find them you wait and see

OK, I found the Kuro swimsuit story. It's in the last few pages of Volume 6, just as the cellphone story is in the last few pages of Volume 7. And I wonder if it is just possible that we are both remembering my version of the cellphone story?? Normally I notice differences between how I did it and how Sayo did it, but I don't remember differences for that story, and he seems very sure it's something he hasn't gotten around to. Hmmm.

I remembered you're translation with the cellphone page was as similar as Sayo's. I'm positive that Sayo did translated it he just doesn't remember.
