Yeah, in one way it's great that you can read a character different ways, but that is one problem with a symbolic language. If you don't know the story, what does the character mean? You have the problem now, with people who have a hard time just reading the newspaper.
Complicate matters with throwing in two writing methods (kata- and hiragana) AND English (not Romanji) and you have a pretty big mess. Can you imagine if in the US we used the regular alphabet, mixed in with Hebrew, then use Chinese at the same time?
It doesn't help either that they have so many ways to express the same name, but then again, it makes for the in-jokes that Japanese has, e.g the characters for Kagami (Hiiragi) can be read different ways.

I loved it when Aoki -- referring to her tan -- said "you really LOOK like Kuro-chan now!"

Meaning "you look BLACK"

Kuro was hugely annoyed and yelled "don't call me by my first name!"

Ok guys, Christmas day is almost here. Kikster our intellects is what makes the story even better, i've seen other peoples deep thoughts and analysis on the manga from other websites but no one proved more evidence of the events than you Kikster, i'm really glad to have known you, my friend.

And Finally you ugetsu, Thank you for every bit of knowledge you shared to me. I really learned a lot from you and my Japanese is really inproving with your help. Please continue with your teachings.

Here is my present my friends, It´s below my post,as an attached file.This one was made with my own art style, it´s an original paint, mixing color pencils, acrilics and some help of the Paint program (the plain and simple), in fact, the idea was to made it enterily in the paint, but when I realized, I was going home, with all the art supplies. Maybe it´s not too much impressive or amazing, but I draw it with all my heart. You can use it for whatever you want, it´s all yours. By the way, I will have many other surprises for you in 2010, but first I need to do two things; First of all REGAIN MY CHAKRA (sorry Newnie, I know that you hate Naruto, but just saying strenght it´s not my style) because I´ve been bussy with the figurines I made to sell in Merida in the anime event (Mission Acomplished) and second of all, gain more and more skills, both crafting and drawing, why? It´s other surprise. Just don´t worry, I will become better, my skill will grow, I felt that my level has UP by one when I saw the faces of the costumers in the event, and that will be reflected in more detailed figurines, and something more. Anyway I hope you enjoy this little something my friends. Merry Christmas.

Hey that's not bad, not bad at all I like how you made Aoki about Rins age, he may still be shy but at least he won't have any regrets once the two go at it lol. it's awesome Samus Good job. By the way i don't recall saying that i hate Naruto, i still read the latest chapters of it, sure i'm not 100% fan of it but i still like reading and watching it. I use to draw extremely good anime and real life drawings when i was about 12 and my skills we're of a professional level but i stopped because i simply grew bored of it. Now i know that i may have to aquire my lost drawing skills to use it for my career in video game creating.

You will get better Samus there's not a single doubt in my mind.

I'm sorry Samus i forgot to say thank you for the gift i have it saved in my computer.

FWIW there is a manga called Mi-tan which is a parody of KnJ. I suppose I want to point out that it is just a batch of pointless silliness, the Loli has some kind of clothing allergy and is evidently some sort of alien, with a piece of paper which says she is 18. Mitan is a misreading of the kanji for "new person" atarashii hito. I could say more about all this but it's probably a waste, just don't bother spending any effort finding this manga.
