Do I see a commission here?

Good likeness to the original character. You get some doujin where the characters have very little resemblence to the original artwork, but this is nicely rendered. Whoever did this, seems to have an eye for detail.

So that's what it is. I want one. Have to wonder if it will show up on eBay or some place where it can be ordered. Or online...

And -- who else is involved in the plot? Kuro, Oyajima, someone new, or nobody?

It seems so strange that she is writing her own doujinshi. Japan's culture is very different.

And what does this imply about where she will take the plot of KnJ? Anything?

On the one hand she's capable of anything. On the other hand one presumes that the main audience for Comic High is children. But on the third hand, it is Japan, so who knows??

This doujinshi was done in her style, not by her. It doesn't make sense to do a doujnshi of KnJ, in the style of Azumanga Daioh, it would look like a Azumanga Daioh doujinshi...
