I use a lot of torrents to watch anime, but I haven't yet used them for the purposes of manga, instead of relying on individual downloads.
My main issue is that: I'm bad at organizing. At first I tried doing categories but I eventually just gave up. I actually have my furry H mixed in with my doujins mixed in with general hentai mixed with yaoi mixed with loli, etc. Anywho, I know I have a large number of SaHa's work mixed in there, but I know I definitely don't have all of it, and what I do have isn't organized. So I noticed there is the giant batch torrent, and some day I plan to get all of that. Mass torrents by a user/group's work is amazing. Normally I seed torrents for a while, but I have limited space on my hard drive so for anime I originally put them on DVD, and now use externals. Externals are also for storing manga now since even though they're smaller, the sheer quantity (esp. with high quality images or 100+ page magazines) gets comparable. Anywho, my question is basically, does anyone have experience with seeded torrent content on external drives or adjacent ones? The default drive for uTorrent with me is C but that is getting full of programs and stuff. I am wanting to see if I can move it to my E (comp came with 2 x 250gb) but I am afraid to do that while torrents are still in progress (a lot have stalled) since I am not sure if I would be able to resume them or lose the partials or something. Presumably it should still work properly that way... Another thing I'm wondering, is if it is possible to seed torrents from internal drives, how hard is it to seed from external ones? Like the kind you can turn on and off separately from your computer. The reason being I was thinking that I could save SaHa's torrent to an external, and then turn that on whenever I wanted to seed. Normally I don't seed for extended periods after getting something but I want to make an exception here because I enjoy the concept of the project so much. I'm just wondering if that would work though. One thing I think would be necessary is making sure I did not unplug the USB, because if I had unplugged it, or put it into a different USB, the drive letter (say h:/) would not point to the drive since a different letter of that specific port would be associated with it. So I should probably under the name of the drive make a note of the letter that I plug it into, so that way if they do not match up I will know that I made a mistake. | |
