I saw that coming a mile away, seeing if Aki's picture was in her phone, the one that was sent to him when Rin was pretending to be someone else. On the other hand, serves him right for snooping, and now he wishes he could un-ring that bell...
Shirai is seriously having a problem being confessed to, maybe it hasn't happened to her before, and she's trying hard to understand it and deal with it.
It looks like something is being set up, with multiple story lines. It's brilliant and will at least keep us looking at out calendars, waiting for the 22nd of each month, for the next year, at least.
