She says "only when I was a child -- when I became an adult it was just fine." Juxtapose that with the talk about Reiji going to the topless bar "as an adult" -- and how he broke away from his Aki memories in a way, just for a moment, by mistake. I think this is the beginning of healing for Reiji...
