I wouldn't worry about the anime right now because the manga is getting more interesting with the development of the characters and the tension that is running through everyone's mind. We were lucky that the season 2 OVA was done but let's face it the manga keeps getting more sexually explicit, so i see very little hope of another season being made in the process.
The title of the manga is Kodomo no Jikan meaning "a childs time" in other words, it's suppose to focus the girls while they are still preteens so i don't know if K.W. will continue the growth of the girls or see them through high school.
