Well, the reason people freak out about the "Death Note" thing is that people who write down peoples' names in it generally aren't too wise. If they actually had a "death note" with such a power, what would happen? If they write a person dead and it actually happens, they feel guilty about it. Some may feel this guilt, yet become addicted to it and end up getting rid of anyone that annoys them on a whim. So, honestly, there is a legitimate understanding of why it wouldn't be a good thing for people to obtain it just to write names down into it. It's not a legitimate way of venting anger, and it shows mallicious intent. Lastly, it isn't very mature to just write in the name of someone you don't like into a book based on a series where doing so results in a person's death. If a person found a legitimate, fully-functional death note, the best thing to do with it would be to burn it. Too much power drives people to insanity. Now, take this comment as a form of humor: You can't defeat an omnipotent, ethereal being who created you in the first place, and isn't tangible to cause and effect. God can't be beaten, since he surpasses cause and effect. (Yeah, I believe in his existence. Eh, well, still, this is meant to be a bit amusing.)

Newnonymous, I applaud you for using it overall as a notebook-type thing rather than anything else, as that's somewhat the intention of it. Albeit with the cover appearance of the object from a series. Common form of merchandise.

Popcorn.
